Fall is finally here on the Emerald Coast! While there may not be a chill in the air, we’re still ready to cozy up by the fireplace. Most homes in Florida don’t have a chimney, but at Chi-Mar Construction, we build to suit our clients’ needs – and sometimes, that includes a focal fireplace! The cream and rustic fireplace offsets the crisp white walls, drawing attention and adding another pop of neutral color. By keeping the fireplace {and walls} light, this home has a beachy feel, and in the cooler months a working fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere that draws everyone in for a relaxing evening.
When you live at the beach, sometimes you need a break from the summer vibes all year-round. At this home in Kelly Plantation, they wanted a more rustic theme, so we used tumbled red bricks for the fireplace, along with a rough hewn wood mantle, to set the scene for another cozy living room.
The contrast of the white walls with the dark beams and fireplace bring life to this living room! Instead of a traditional brick or white fireplace, this home opted for a more modern look, and the graphite colored fireplace looks stunning with a roaring fire in the hearth!
Imagine opening the glass walls on a brisk fall day while you snuggle up by the fireplace! Surrounded by a marble frame, this light colored fireplace is beautifully understated, and by ditching the traditional wood, this mono-chromatic room is given an updated, modern feel.
Bring the heat outside! This screened-in porch got a makeover when we added a chimney and fireplace, complete with a beautiful wood mantle. To make this outdoor living space even better, the clients added a television for optimal football viewing. And just look at that view, it doesn’t get any better than this!
