4th of July is always an exciting holiday in our area. With so much going on there is something for everyone. Families, cookouts, fishing trips and FREE acitivites for the whole family. Check out some of the BIG events taking place!
July 3rd 1:00pm – 10:00pm Smoke on the Coast
Come one, come all to a fun-filled day and evening celebrating Destin Commons’ Expansion Grand Opening and the 4th Annual Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival. Fun for the whole family will include free face painting, kids activites, street performers, and continuus live bands performing on two stages. Twenty-three area restaurants and BBQ aficionados will light up their grills to prepare their best dishes. Starting at 6pm, for $1 per sampling, people get to taste and vote for their favorite People’s Choice Award Winner with proceeds benefitting local miliatry and children’s charities. The evening concludes with an Independence Day firework extravaganza unlike anything ever seen on the Emerald Coast.
July 3rd – 5th 4th of July Extravaganze on the Harbor
HarborWalk Village will celebrate America’s freedom July 3rd through July 5th. Spirits will soar and flags will wave as the July 4th activities kick off Thusday with the Red, White and Blue Celebration. On Friday, let freedom ring with the glamorous Victory Belles as they revive the WWII era in their throwback tailored dresses, coiffed curls and bright red lipstick singing 1940s classic. The patriotic salute will continue with fireworks lighting up the sky in red, white and blue at 9pm. Gypsy Riot will keep the celebration rocking Satruday night for a FREE concert on the Destin Harbor.
July 4th Beneath the Stars & Stripes
Join the Lighthouse Amphitheater in saluting our Armed Forces and Veterans this 4th of July with a FREE concert featuring Sinfonia Gulf Coast. All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
