Tis the season for friends, relatives, and everyone else to come home for the holidays. This means that your home needs to be prepared for the extra people that it will have to accommodate. Chi-Mar Construction has chosen a few of our homes to showcase some of the features that every house should have to make guests more comfortable.
One of the most important things to have if you want to live in the house that everyone comes to for the holidays, you’ll need to be organized. The thing we love most about this side entrance is that it is spacious, convenient, and yet beautiful. When family comes to visit, it is easy to move your own personal things out of the cubbies for your guests to have room to store shoes, coats, and anything extra they bring.
After your family arrives, they’ll want to relax after a day spent traveling. The great thing about this space is that it has an open floor plan that flows from the dining area to the living room. This way, your guests can grab a bite to eat and not feel cut off from the rest of the group. And, the ample seating areas can host a large crowd comfortably, or offer multiple intimate sitting areas for smaller groups.
The bedrooms offer your guests a way to have some private time, relax, and refresh during the holidays. It is important that everyone has their own space, especially the children. This bedroom has been converted to hold multiple children with the use of bunk beds, and it is also equipped with their own little living area. By creating a space that is uniquely for them, children will no longer control the living room TV or be in the way of adults socializing.
Your adult guests also need their own space, but they do not need as many distractions as the children’s rooms. A clean, simple guest bedroom is the best way for your family and friends to feel comfortable in your home. Notice how this room isn’t cluttered, there is minimal artwork, and an extra amenities, such as a blanket and their own personal TV.

With such a mild winter, Floridians have the options of entertaining their holiday guests outside. the built in kitchen, large dining table, and an abundance of sitting areas enable this porch to be perfect for entertaining large groups. The swinging chairs give this deck a unique feel, and the wood burning fireplace offers extra warmth for those chillier tropical evenings.
